Etropolis is an ancient city with a rich historical past. Hidden in the northern slopes of Stara Planina, at the foot of Mount Baba, the small Balkan town still fascinates with its charm and beauty. Etropole Historical Museum is housed in the building of the former “konak”, built in the middle of the 19th century – 1853-1870 by the Etropole masters Deno and Tsvetko. Apart from being one of the main institutions dealing with tourism in the Municipality of Etropole, the museum is also one of the most important architectural monuments in the area.
