Bagpipe players Serafim Kafedjiev and Ivo Jambazov – the virtuosos of the Rhodope kaba gaida ( large bagpipe) from the city of Dele Voivoda – Zlatograd, will take part in the opening of the International Tourist Exhibition “Cultural Tourism” in Veliko Tarnovo.
Serafim Kafedjiev is often called the main guardian of the Zlatograd bagpipe tradition. A long-time teacher of bagpipes, he preserves, transmits and distributes Rhodope music and Zlatograd folklore, among friends of the city from near and far. He leaves a deep impression on the soul of everyone who touches the magic of his bagpipe.
Ivo Jambazov is one of the persons who deeply preserves and develops the bagpipe art in Zlatograd. He is the best performer of the song “Izlel e Delho Haydutin” for 2022. With his performances and decisive presence, he represents Zlatograd in many international and national festivals. Ivo Jambazov is the man who speaks his soul with a bagpipe.
