This is the bouquet of impressions that we take with us upon our return home. What will he be? Lush and fragrant or dry and soulless? It depends on our experiences. Foremost among them are our culinary impressions of a given destination.
What is needed to properly present the traditional cuisine of a destination to its visitors?
What are the secrets of the Greek emblematic specialties that attract millions of tourists to the taverns and restaurants? How can a local product, prepared and served professionally, become a symbol of the destination?
The team of professional chefs from the Guild of Professional Chefs of Greek Gastronomy (Greece) will demonstrate the entire process of creating such a dish. It will have a rich Mediterranean character, with skilfully intertwined flavors of history, culture, traditions and innovations. We will witness how high professionalism, experience and fantasy help to create dishes with the „local“ characteristic, and their taste turns them into an advertising face of the destination.
The culinary presentation organized by „A BALKAN“ Ltd. and the GUILD OF PROFESSIONAL COOKS OF GREEK GASTRONOMY will be led by EXECUTIVE CHEF STYLIANOS DIGAS – president of the Guild of Professional Cooks of Greek Gastronomy and deputy. Chairman of the Federation of Professional Chefs of Greece.
Executive Chef Stylianos Digas is a lover of Greek cuisine and a passionate promoter of it, combining old recipes with modern techniques without losing their identity.
Students from the Dr. Vasil Beron Vocational High School for Tourism in Veliko Tarnovo will take an active part in the culinary presentation.
The culinary presentation will be followed by a tasting of the prepared dish and a discussion on topics connecting gastronomy and tourism in Greece and Bulgaria.
